IN REMEMBRANCE

This work is in honor to the thousands of Confederate heroes that lie in unmarked graves or in graves marked "Unknown", that died in defense of their homeland for a Cause that they believed was right. They are unknown to all but God. There was no Confederate Government at the end of the conflict to see that the Southern Dead were properly tended to. They were not allowed in the National Cemeteries. Thus, it fell upon the individual families and memorial associations that formed to see that their dead were properly tended to. Those whom we never cease to love, we never lose. Let it never be said that their Sons in these Southern States have forgotten their noble example.
