Lafayette to Morgan City:
Drive south from Lafayette on La Hwy 90 until you reach the Atchafalaya River Bridge. You
will cross the Atchafalaya River Bridge in the right lane and get off at the Federal
Avenue exit. You will turn left onto Federal Avenue and proceed to the intersection of
Federal Avenue and Duke Street. The Young-Sanders Center will be on your right hand side
at the corner of Federal and Duke. The street address is 501 Federal Avenue.
Baton Rouge to Morgan City:
Drive south on I-10 from Baton Rouge and get off the interstate at the Sorrento/
Donaldsonville exit and proceed to the Mississippi River on Hwy 70. Cross the Sunshine
Bridge and continue on Hwy 70. La Hwy 70 passes through the towns of Pierre Part, Belle
River and Stephensville. After passing through Stephenville you will enter Morgan City
within 15 minutes. Lake End Park will be on your left as you enter Morgan City. La Hwy 70
will become Marguerite Street once you are in town. Proceed on Marguerite past Lakewood
Medical Center, (which will be on your right) until you reach Sixth Street. Turn left onto
Sixth Street and drive until you reach Brashear Avenue. Turn right onto Brashear and
proceed to the Brashear/Federal Ave. intersection. A left turn at this lighted
intersection is not allowed, so turn right and make a u-turn on Federal Avenue. Proceed
down Federal Avenue until you reach Duke Street. The Young-Sanders Center is located on
your right hand side at the intersection of Federal and Duke. The street address is 501
Federal.
New Orleans International Airport to Morgan City:
Take Hwy 61(west) from the airport and proceed to the Hwy 61/I-610 intersection. Turn onto
I-610 and head west. At the intersection of I-610 and Hwy 90 get on Hwy 90 and head west.
You will pass through Houma, Louisiana; continue driving west on Hwy 90. You will pass
over Bayou Beouf Bridge at the town of Amelia. You will drive several more miles until you
reach the overpass that connects Hwy 90 with the Atchafalaya River Bridge. Proceed UNDER
the overpass and PAST the on-ramp into downtown Morgan City. Turn right onto Federal
Avenue, then make a u-turn and proceed down Federal until the intersection of Federal and
Duke Street. The Young-Sanders Center is located on the right hand side at the corner of
Federal and Duke. The street address is 501 Federal.
